As an integral part of its corporate philosophy, Markham-based new home and community builder Kylemore Communities is committed to lending a hand to charities and non-profit organizations in areas in which it builds. Throughout the year, the company hosts events that reflect this spirit. On Nov. 30, Kylemore held its annual Holiday Season Celebration at The School Fine Dining to show its appreciation to its dedicated trades, suppliers, employees and supporters. The 5th Annual Kylemore Kares Charity Golf Tournament
On Thursday, September 27, 200 golfers will play 18-holes on both of the spectacular golf courses of Angus Glen Golf Club, to raise funds in support of local charity. “For the past 5 years, we’ve hosted this annual event which is attended by many of our trades, suppliers, consultants and local businesses. We are thankful for the support we receive. It is always a fantastic day, starting from registration with food and drinks at the Golf Club, through the 18-holes of golf plus on-course entertainment. In the evening we are joined by more guests for an outstanding menu of specialty food items, drinks, live entertainment and dancing,” says Patrick O’Hanlon. All proceeds from the day’s events are donated to charity.
EXCITING FUND-RAISING EVENT ANNOUNCED FOR 6-YEAR OLD JULIA MORREALE
Six-year old Julia Morreale, already a recipient of a heart transplant at the age of 8 months, is in further need of medical attention since being diagnosed with a third recurrence of Post-transplant lymphoproliferative disorder (PTLD), a rare form of cancer which only affects transplant patients. Friends, family and supporters have rallied together to organize a special evening entitled “Kylemore Kares presents An Evening with Brian Roman in support of Julia Morreale.”
KYLEMORE COMMUNITIES HOCKEY WITH HEART EVENT CHARITY GOLF TOURNAMENT RAISES $100,000
In August, Kylemore Communities Hockey with Heart Charity Golf Event and Gala, held at Angus Glen Golf Club, raised $100,000 for community organizations including Children’s Wish, B-Strong, Pathways for Children, Youth and Families, Yellow Brick House, and Markham Food bank.

If you hurry, there’s still time to join in the fun at the entertainment event of the summer! Tickets are going quickly for the Kylemore Communities Hockey with Heart tapas-style dinner and summer concert overlooking the fairways, featuring Unionville’s own, Brian Neale and Northern Harbour, the ultimate Jimmy Buffett tribute band. The fabulous evening will be held at the Angus Glen Golf Club on Wednesday, August 3rd, and will provide an exciting culmination to the sold-out annual golf tournament. The Charity Golf Event is hoping to raise $125,000 for local Community In Need initiatives including B-Strong, Children’s Wish, Pathways for Children, Youth and Families, Markham Food Bank, Yellow Brick House and others. Tickets for the evening are $100 each.
